Cultivate Curiosity operates under the idea that optimal growth and development starts with a seed of curiosity. That’s the basis of our outdoor children’s gardening classes in Columbus, Ohio. Take a class to see how the garden can help your child bloom.

Monthly Classes

  • Learn the parts of the plant through a fun team activity and hands-on craft. Stay after the lesson for free-play on the homestead!

  • We’ll learn about how the environment impacts our gardens. We’ll explore sunlight through cyanotype printing and we’ll even make our own clouds! Stay after the lesson for free-play on the homestead.

  • In this class we will learn how plants get their color and use plants to create colorful piece of art. Stay after the lesson for free-play on the homestead.

  • The kids will learn how to save seeds for next year’s garden and will work together to make a scarecrow for the garden! Stay after the lesson for free-play on the homestead.

specialty classes

  • Kids will harvest food in the garden and use it to prepare a simple recipe.

  • Kids will harvest flowers and branches from around the homestead and create their own bouquet.

  • Kids will use plants from the homestead to create a hammer-dyed towel or bandana.
